I never liked songs of Eminem especially the gangster-like rapping he does. Not Afraid is an exception; this reminds me of the UP spirit: palaban, walanginuurungan, for as long as an Iskolar ng Bayan is taking the wise, good stand. While, uhm... UP students are wise, they sometimes forget who they really are. I still remember the throwing-of-paintballs incident vividly. The Chancellor was carried away by the whirlwind of emotions thereby forcing him to challenge the rallying students,
“Sige! Batuhin niyo ako!”
“O, batuhin niyo daw,” said a student.
Obeying his [the Chancellor’s] word, the students threw the paintballs on the Chancellor, his face, his polo, his car and every other thing that’s his and near him that moment. How I wish the students have maintained their poise and composure.

Most kids are KSP. They’ll do anything, in fact, everything to catch your attention. They mess up your work, put dirt on your shirt, and worse, set your blood pressure on high. They make faces as if they’re funny or as if you’re playing with them. Argh! Even the thought of them kills me!
(After some time, I finally calmed down.)
I don’t know. Maybe my being an only child, an emo, and an antisocial contribute to the way I think of and deal with children who are KSP.
Indeed, we just need to let them be KSP. Pretty soon, they’ll surely tire out.

This line of the song reminds me of the day I saw the UPCAT results online and the day I graduated from high school, and... Let me include my stay in UP [LB].
I took the UPCAT in 2009. I was, of course, fourth year high school then. I chose UPLB first, with Math and Industrial Engineering as course choices, followed by UPD with Business Administration and Accountancy and Broadcast Communication. I know, choosing UPLB before UPD is not ideal but I did because of its proximity to our residence and its fresh surroundings away from the busy streets of the metro. Another weird thing is my preference for Math rather than Industrial Engineering. The reason is, I thought that UPCAT is very difficult that I won’t pass it. A sure ball for me to pass is to put Math first. Now, it seems to be a moronic move for me. Though I almost have no regrets, I still find my course enjoyable, that I can manage it.
Oh well, this day, setting myself free of any thoughts of the past week, I unwind and reflected on things of the past, the present and the future.
Another exciting week is ahead of me. :)

June 30 pa lang, nawalan na ng klase. Dineklara ng noo'y pangulo pang si Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo bilang nonworking holiday ang araw na iyon dahil inagurasyon ng Pangulong Benigno Simeon Cojuangco Aquino III.
Panahon pa lamang ng pangangampanya, ipinagmamalaki na ni P-Noy na dadalhin niya ang Pilipinas sa matuwid na daang kanyang tatahakin. Pinanindigan na rin niya na kung walang korap, walang mahirap.
Sa kanyang talumpati, ipinangako niyang tutuparin niya ang paglipol ng katiwalian at korapsyon. Ngunit tila yata nagiging salbabida ng mga dating gabinete ni PGMA ang kanyang administrayon. Nariyan sina Dinky Soliman at Hilario Davide.
Hindi natin maikakaila na ang kanyang mga magulang ay kasama sa mga dahilan kaya siya naluklok sa pwesto ngayon. Buhay pa ang Cory Magic, naniniwala ang mga Pilipino kay P-Noy.
Ako ma'y naniniwalang may pagbabago. Mababago pa ang estado ng Pilipinas. 'Yun ay kung magkakaisa tayo sa pagkilos kasama ng pamahalaan.
Ako ma'y puno rin ng pag-asa.

Well, I stayed up this late [early, I suppose] in order for me to make a new account for the new SystemOne. I have been online for 18 hours. Though the SystemOne worked past midnight, I still wasn't able to make one 'cause my connection was poor.
For those who stayed up late with me, and had made accounts successfully or otherwise, kudos to us!
For the SystemOne administrators and developers, good job. Let's keep going!
Sobrang na-excite ako ngayong panahon ng eleksyon. Unang pagkakataon kasing magkakaroon ng makabago at automated na eleksyon ditto sa Third World na Pilipinas. Utopian, pero nangyari. Hindi man ganoon katagumpay, ok na rin, una pa lang naman eh. Napakarami pang susunod na panahon para mabago ang mga glitches whatsoever na nagpatagal at nagpagulo sa sistema ng eleksyon ngayong taong ito.
Isa pang nakapagpatuwa sa akin ng husto [pero hindi ko alam kung tama bang natuwa ako rito] ay ang kakaibang bilis ng mga resulta. Mantakin niyo, kung noon ilang araw ang hinhintay natin para malaman ang initial na resulta, ngayon kakasara pa lang ng mga presinto, unti-unti nang nakikita ang mga binoto ng mga tao.
Kahapon pa, may mga medyo kulelat na kandidato sa bilangan na isa-isa nang nagco-concede sa frontrunner. Nakakatuwa, pero, hindi kaya nagpapakitang-tao lang sila? Pero, anu’t-ano man, humahanga ako sa pagtanggap nila ng pagkatalo hindi pa man tapos ang bilangan.
